OUTDOOR CLASSROOM
The Outdoor Classroom has proven to be an integral part of the curriculum at LMES. Fourth grade students spent time learning about "Producers" from Master Gardner, Howard Cunningham in the Outdoor Classroom. Cabbage plants were used to describe the characteristics of producers and each student planted their own cabbage plant during the lesson. LMES appreciates Mr. Cunningham for taking the time to work with our students and extend the learning outdoors!

PBIS
PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) is a behavior intervention program that targets positive behavior. Students earn "Massey Money" when it is noticed that they are behaving in a positive manner. Students can spend their Massey Money on various rewards. One such option is King or Queen for the day. These students get to participate in morning announcements, eat lunch with the principal, and wear a crown around all day. The first two students to choose this option were Chaz Pate & Tyleah Fonseca, both second graders. All of the students should be proud of their involvement in PBIS and the continued good behavior.
